攻撃力で推定したNPBの歴代ポジション別守備難易度

ポジション別の守備難易度を推定する方法のうち、攻撃力で推定する方法があります。遊撃手のように高い守備力を要求するポジションは攻撃力が低くても起用になります。つまり、低い攻撃力を守備で取り出すことができます。逆に左翼手や一塁手のように高い攻撃力を要求するポジションは守備力が低くても起用されます。すべてのポジションに才能が均等に分布している場合、攻撃力+守備力が似ているでしょう。このようなロジックで攻撃力が高いポジションはそれほど守備力が低く、攻撃力が低いポジションはそれだけ守備力が高いと見ているのです。

 

ポジション別攻撃力比較方法

各ポジションで選手が記録した攻撃得点を合計します。

攻撃得点＝打撃得点＋ジュール得点

打撃得点＝Rbat（パークファクター調整して投手除いたwRAA）

走塁得点＝Rsb（盗塁得点）＋Rdp（兵殺回被得点）＋Radv（進塁得点）

複数のポジションでプレーした選手の場合は、守備に基づいて配分されます。もし選手が中堅手で300イニング、右翼手で700イニングを走った場合、貢献度を中堅手で30%、右翼手で70%に分けます。このように、すべての選手のポジション別攻撃得点を合算し、標本サイズを増やすために10年単位で結びます。 1リーグ時代だった1930～1940年代は競技数が少なかったので一緒に結びました。 143試合（約600打席）当たりの攻撃得点が10点なら守備難易度はその逆の-10点になります。

通算補正値を見ると、捕手 > 遊撃手> 二塁手 > 三塁手 > 右翼手> 左翼手> 中堅手> 一塁手 > 指名打者の順です。捕手は攻撃力が大きく低く、次に低い遊撃手と比較しても1勝以上の差があります。内野手は一般的な認識通り、遊撃手>二塁手>三塁手>一塁手の順序ですが、外野手は一般的に認識される守備難易度とは大きな違いを見せています。中堅手はコーナー外野手より守備が難しいポジションというのが定説ですが、攻撃力で推定した守備難易度は中堅手が左翼手よりも簡単だという。中堅手はコーナー外野手より広い守備範囲をカバーしなければならないため、高い走力が求められます。打撃能力だけに限ると、日本プロ野球でも中堅手がコーナー外野手よりもできませんが、走塁まで勘案した攻撃力はコーナー外野手に劣りません。そのため、攻撃力だけで中堅手の守備難易度がコーナー外野手よりも簡単だと見るのは難しいです。

年代別に見ると10年値ずつ年代別に結んだのにかなりの変動があります。 一塁手の調整値を見ると、2000年代に-1.23勝だったが、2010年代に-0.56勝に急減しています。この現象が発生する理由は、サンプルが不十分なためと思われます。 NPBはチーム数と競技数が少ないため、10年値といってもMLB基準では3～4年値のサンプルに過ぎません。それなら標本を増やさなければならないが、期間が長すぎると当時の守備難易度とは乖離が大きくなるという問題があります。 20年値を使うとすれば、2010年代の守備難易度を求めるために2000年代のデータも使用しなければなりません。そこで、期間を増やすよりは10年値とNPB通貨調整値を平均する方法を使っています。
